The sewage treatment plant servicing the Town of Bayfield has reached capacity; at least for now. It is hard to get a straight answer, but this much we know for sure: No building permits will be issued until something is done to increase capacity at the plant. Best estimates are between 1 to 3 months to get this fixed. Houses already under construction...that means properties where a building permit had already been issued...will still be issued occupancy permits. Projects most affected include: Mesa Meadows, Sunrise Estates and Dove Ranch. Forest Lakes, which has its own sewage treatment plant, is not affected by this order at all.
