Do Not Call Registry For Cell Phones

Not everything we write about in this blog relates to Durango real estate, so here is a tip that would just help make life easier.

I am not sure if the cell phone thing is new, but you are now allowed to put your cell phone telephone number in the Do Not Call Registry, which is maintained by the Federal Trade Commission. In order to register and help prevent you from receiving unwanted telemarketers on your cell phone, you need to call the following phone number from the cell phone that you want on the "telemarketers please stay out of my life" list. That phone number is 888-382-1222. It is very quick and easy; I will bet that it didn't take me one minute to complete.

From this website, you can check other phone numbers you may have registered in the past to make sure they are still registered or add other land lines to the Do Not Call Registry.
