Conservation Easements

The use of Conservation Easements has certainly grown over the past few years in Colorado. Conservation Easements are a good method for landowners or homeowners to dedicate a portion of their property for non-development in exchange or some significant tax savings. Durango, Colorado certainly has some beautiful and scenic countryside that is ideal for use as a conservation easement. Because there are costs associated in granting a conservation easement, this procedure is not really suited for properties below $400,000.
