As a Durango real estate broker who has been in the business for over 30 years, I am often asked about the state of the Durango real estate market. To answer that question, you must understand that there are actually many sub-markets that make up the entire Durango real estate market. You might ask about the “condo” market. My reply would come in parts: In-town condos for rentals or owner occupancy; condos at the ski area. Or you may want to know about the home market. Similarly, the response would address several sub-markets: Bayfield; over $1,000,000; in-town; country homes, etc.
