Common Real Estate Myths #2

There is a perfect house out there for me.
If you're waiting for the perfect house to come along, you will likely end up never buying anything. Either the kitchen is too big or too small, living room doesn't have enough windows or just too many windows, the backyard is too big or too small... you get the idea. In my 33 years in the real estate business, I have yet to find a buyer who said: “This is the perfect house.” So if after well over 1,000 transactions we've yet to find a perfect home for our buyer's, it's not likely to come along this next year either. A good real estate broker helps to manage expectations and will let A buyer focus on what the most important features are that they need. Then that broker will better be able to find a home that meets most or all of those needs. Besides, adding your little touches to a home makes it more personal to you as it becomes customized to your particular tastes and needs.
