Common Real Estate Myths #3

Working with multiple brokers improve my chances of finding the right house.
What a buyer really wants is one broker working very hard to find the right property. Let's be realistic. This is a commission only business and brokers want to work with people who they know will be loyal to them as long as they provide good service. Brokers will locate properties for those clients that are loyal first, then if none of those buyers are interested he would go to his less loyal clients next. If a buyer works with two or three or four other brokers then the buyer will receive a halfhearted attempt from each of those brokers because they realize that you are not loyal. Picking your broker is kind of like dating: you may think playing the field is a great concept for the short run, but overall it's counterproductive and not a good idea.
